My Brother

My dear older brother

I brought you lunch from home

Because I love you

You took me on hikes beneath skies so blue

And beside the sparkling river we roamed

Because you’re my good brother

Argue is something we used to do

But anger never stayed under our dome

Because you love me and I love you

You’re someone to look up to

Full of ceaseless spirit you make any house home

Because you’re my brother that’s true

Sometimes you get in trouble too

But I’ll never leave you while we roam

Because I love you

Together we learn and grow

And I still bring you lunch from home

Because you’re my brother

And I love you
