My Brother and Me

We've always been together,

my brother and me.

But now it is time for him

to leave for college, you see.

I don't know how I'll handle

missing him when he goes.

What will life be like without him?

I'm happy for him though.

My heart hurts when I ponder

life at home without his presence.

Please watch over him, Lord,

as he moves onto life's big lessons.
