My Brother's Keeper
A day
Numb without forgetfulness
The very defintion of anxiety
The dead are lifeless
The ones to leave have departed
But yet you expect me to not have remorse or guilt towards you
This feeling of being guilty just runs on and on
As if I was living in hell for my sins that I have atoned for
Playing over unfailingly and watching you take your life with no regret
While I sit here breathlessly thinking about what I could've done to save you
The most miserable thing about guilt is that it's described in relation of a scar you carry on forever
Guilt is the worse demon to carry
Strangling you from the insde of the body out
Draining you and every valuable memory you have
So many questions I want answered but it's too late
How could I let you slip through my fingers?
How can I let go of something when all I can do is think of saving the one person who needed me the most?
Did you even wanted to be saved big brother?
Or did you think you didn't have nobody to vent to after all?
What little brother I am..
