My Brother's Reason

We laughed together, telling each other jokes and playing games. I loved my brother, he was my friend and my inspiration. He left me one day, for reasons he could not explain to me. I accepted it, for he knew it was the right thing to do. But now I’m confused, my brother has not returned to this day. My parents explain, he looks down at us from above smiling, for he died for my freedom; his reason for leaving me years ago.
