My Cage

Sitting in a corner,

Holding my breath,

Hoping for someone to save me,

Praying someone will give me his or her hand,

But they never do.

Sitting in a corner,

Holding my breath,

Drowning,

Watching as the world passes me,

As the people don't even spare a glance.

Sitting in a corner,

Holding my breath,

Realizing no ones coming,

Standing on my own two feet,

And dusting off my knees.

Leaving my cage,

Letting my breath free,

Never staring back,

Getting into line with the rest,

Like everyone else, only staring forward.
