My Calling

There is one passion which I can only express through the tongue on the tip of my pen.

It is brilliant in thought and instance,
I often get lost in its presence.
My thoughts are no longer my own
once the ink allows itself,
To paint my words into a beautiful melody.

Writing is so much more
than a translation of thought into words.
It is art of the soul.
Where passion meets patience,
As I search for the words which can capture the character of my mind,
I leave an ounce of myself in each sentence

There is a decadence in the process which I love,
However,
We can choose the weight of our words
and that is a true gift.
Whether I choose to enforce passion
or instill eloquence in my work,
writing shall always thrill me.
