My Castle

The covers like a castle wall,
Protect me from the barrage of emotions,
Too much to run from,
So I hide under waiting for a call.

No one around,
Alone to wallow in fear and pain,
No friends to reach out,
So I'll lay here and try to cut out the stain.

The sheets my only protection,
An army of panic lays seige outside,
So for now I'll stay here,
And wait till I can no longer hide.
