MY CATHEDRA

Garbled words fall into my ears,

Muddled psyche -  suffers and hears,

Agast, I gather all my fears,

Garnering mentally over the years.

I sit on my cathedra staging my power,

Moments of olden; recalling the hour,

Previous images my musings devour,

Sublime scenerios turn ferment and sour.

When did my daylight fade into dark?

No closings concluded, no parting remark,

No purpose exhorted, yet alone I embark,

One breaking explosion proceeding a spark.

Survival was instant I beared this alone,

Discarded affairs and all I have known.

Possessions and relics and friendships disowned,

Ruthless and savage is all that was sewn.
