My cats been watching too much tv
He has the stance of a Great Dane,
Hisses at the husky next door as if he were a snake,
But purrs like a kitten.
He stalks shadows waiting to pounce on your feet
We call him Shadow.
He sits at the top of the stairs
Waiting to pluck your hat of your head
He stares at the fish tank, his eyes in sync with their movements.
And Curse those raptors from Jurassic Park.
He's learned how to open doors,
I know l closed the door.
He sticks his paw under the door, at the pressure points
Pushing gently until the door flings open.
Wait now I think about it,
I don't remember feeding him.
But we bought a new bag a month ago, and now it's almost empty
In fact no one left the TV on,
And if we did it automatically shuts off after 2 hours.
After this analysis our Shadow ,
Must morph into a Panther from the jungles of Saigon....
When we leave the house
This explains why the husky next door never barks at him next door.
