My Cell Phone

The procrastination is too real,

no thanks to you.

A distraction in a pocket,

is that money well spent?

You bring me into a new world and I'm stuck,

I can't get out.

WHAT ARE THOSE? I ask,

and you pull me in even further.

You introduced me to Daniel, who

apparently is back with his white vans again.

You helped me create a list of men on Mondays,

who I seem to have crushes on.

You show me your ghost friend,

who makes me vomit rainbows.

But,

I have a book full of friends,

birds who tweet me their songs.

I can see my Nana's face,

time and time again.

You remind me of my chores,

and tell me when to pay my bills.

You sings me songs all day,

and all you need is some juice.

Oh, how much better can you be?

I can't live without you,

my dearly device.

My cell phone,

best thing that I own.
