My Condolences

my condolences to my heart and to my ego

we took our barriers down to let her seep beneath you

we wince with fear of letting her in

it's hard to imagine letting your heart love again

but for her we try

she is a mystery and her words make a poem out of you and I

our fear lies within the reality of past heartbreaks

but we overcome it for the thrive of letting love overtake
