My Confession
I have said it once
I’ve told it before
Unfortunately
My love for you
was so much more
than yours to me
therefore
It didn’t end happily
You used me
abused me
chewed me up and spit me out
You crushed my confidence
and filled me with doubt
Made me feel like I wasn’t good enough
and I wish I could be better, more tough
Be able to make it through
without thinking about you
But for some reason I can’t
all I do is rant and rant
About all my flaws and regrets
and how you probably never think about me, I bet
I feel locked in a dungeon
Small, cold, filled with depression
Locked with a key
that cannot be opened by me
For it’s hidden away in a unreachable place
Which there is left no trace
It’s your warm love that fits that lock
but to reach that, I’d have to turn back the clock
To the time that I was actually happy everyday
Where a smile appeared on my face when you came my way
and life seemed so simple, so perfect
Where I actually felt like I was worth it
But now I don’t anymore
Because my heart and love is what you tore
You took the vibrant, happy light away
and it pains me to see you day by day
slowly forgetting about me
and everything that we used to be
and all the memories we’ve ever had
the good times, and even the bad
So tell me-
what am i supposed to do
without you
in my life?
that is now filled with sadness and strife
as a result of your absence.
Now your disappearance
from my life haunts me to the core
knowing that you don’t love me anymore
and i have and will always hold that passion for you
My one, my only, my true...
SOULMATE
So what is this confession I possess,
and now must let you know?
I’m a philophobic
and forever will be
as my eternal heartbreaks throb and grow
