My Confession

In all my years of schooling,

I was always inspired by others.

Not a day goes by when I don’t think about wanting to be prettier.

All my life,

I hesitated to show who I really was.

So embarrassed, to actually show.

So, I guess you can say,

I was always hiding behind everyone’s shadow.

It wasn’t till around this time last year,

when I accepted myself

and grew the courage, to actually show myself.
