My Convo With God

One night as I was lying in bed talking with God, when He said: "Why should I let you into my kingdom?" I said ~ "Because Jesus is my hope and my salvation. You died on the cross and rose again for me and canceled the debt of my sins. When I got baptized and when you saved I made you Lord and Savior of my life." God said ~ "No one knows the hour the Son of Man is coming back only the Father. Your life on earth is only temporary, so be alert, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you don't expect." I said~ Why then God did you make me if my life is on earth is only temporary? What is my purpose here?" And God said ~ "Your purpose is to know me and make me known. I made you so that you would bear my witness to my name. I made you so that you would become my disciple and glorify me. I made you so that you could go out among the nations and preach the gospel and bind up the brokenhearted and proclaim liberty to the captives and those who are bound. (Isaiah 61:1; Matthew 28:19-20) I made you so that you could be a living, breathing, walking, testimony of what I've done for you in your life, and to be the light and salt of the world to see me through who you are, how you act, speak, think, and how you conduct your daily life." (Matthew 5:13-16) And I said~ "But God, since you created me for that purpose for me to live out, how am I supposed to do so?" God said ~ "First you must be willing to die to yourself and pick up your cross and follow me. (Luke 9:23-24) To put others before yourself and don't serve or give out of pride or conceit or expecting to get something in return, but be humble. To let all you do be done out of love. To obey those in authority. To be able to count all things as rubbish for my name's sake, to take your thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ. To count all of your trials, troubles, sufferings, and hardships all joy. To abstain from evil because the enemy prowels around looking for someone to devour." (1 Peter 5:8; James 1:2-4; 2 Corithians 10:3-5; Philippians 2:1-11; 3:8) And I said ~ "Okay God, do you then promise to walk with me all the way through all of this?" God said ~ "I will walk with you all the way through the thick and the thin. Through the unknowns, through your highest highs and your lowest lows, on the mountaintops and in the valleys. And I said ~ "Lord, I believe you, help my unbelief." God said ~"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11) I said ~ "Lord, where you lead me I will follow." And God said ~ "You must be willing and humble to die to yourself everyday and pick up your cross and follow me. (Luke 9:23-24) You must love others as I have loved you and not focus on the love of yourself." And I said ~ "God how I supposed to do that when society and others around me say to love yourself, love your body, love who you are in life and to base oneself off of what people say?" And God said ~ "Why are you so worried about others think of you, when what I say about you outweighs what they say about you" God said ~ "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your strength and with all your mind, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5) the one who hears you, hears me, the one who rejects me, rejects him who sent me. To those who do not receive you, shake the dust off your feet." (Luke 10:7-12, 16, 27-37) I said ~ "God there are so many people that don't like you. What if they don't like me because I believe in you?" God said ~ "If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own, but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." (John 15:18) And I said ~ "God how am I supposed to have the the childlike faith that you are working in my own life and in the lives of others around me, when everything seems to be completely out of control and in total choas?" And God said ~ "Truly I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to to there; an it will move, an nothing with be impossible for you. For we walk by faith and not by sight." (Matthew 7:20; 2 Corinthians 5:7) I said ~ "God, I don't have the strength to carry all of this. This is too heavy of a burden to handle on my own." And God said ~ "You will be able to do all things because I will strengthen you. For my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness, so that you will all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ will rest upon you. (2 Corinthians 12:9; Philippians 4:11-13) And I am your God, I will supply every need of yours according to my riches in glroy in Christ. Nothing is impossible with God; with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Philippians 4:19; Matthew 19:26) And I said "Lord, I believe, help my unbelief , because where you lead me I will follow." God said ~ "Be an example to those around you, build one another up in the faith and be the example for the young and old believers, for the new believers, for the unbelievers, for those who are lost and don't know where to go, for those looking for hope, for those who need someone to talk to. Do not let anyone look down upon you because you are young." (1 Timothy 4:6-12; 1 Peter 3:14-15) And I said ~ "For I am not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, "the righteous shall live by faith." (Romans 1:16-17) God said "Be sure of this that I who began a good work work in you in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." (Philippians 1:6) And I said ~ "Lord, I believe, help my unbelief, because where you lead me, I will follow." Soli Deo Gloria!
