My Corner in the Sky

A single mother in search of something

As bad as things get

I'll never stop searching

Trying to pick up the peices

Of a broken young girl

Trying to smooth out the creases

Working to be the woman

I should have become

Long before I had my son

Trying to find the secret to life

Always looking for

A way to make things right

Smacked in the face day after day

Always something new

Trying to make me break

I'll never stop looking for that peice of the pie

For that life that I've dreamt of

My corner in the sky.
