My Country 'Tis of Thee

My country 'tis of thee

I thought we were gonna be free

since when do they get to tell me

I'm not allowed to be me?

My body aches from this pain

I feel myself going insane.

We're supposed to make a change

but how, when we all look the same?

time is passing fast.

his agony has gone on to last

I've tried so hard to be free

my country 'tis of thee.
