My Creativity

My Creativity

More than just simple life activity

Your every day actions represent your creativity

Causing the world to become your stage

Realistically leading to involvement with players of all age

Even when my mistakenly photocopied face became my Dad’s first book cover

And a simple introduction to the next door neighbor turned my sister into a book lover

Tragedy from that same girl’s teenaged suicide

Instead became my life’s guide

Vanity of the physical things that should be treasured

In that versus the hopes and dreams that can’t be measured

To the goals and achievements that can be realized

Yet not taken from our life’s memories that we wish could be forever’ed

My Mother’s unrealized love and passion were song

Yet my Dad’s music dream were not for long

Can no sound be produced from that trumpet

Reality set in, but instilling a love for music was still the first step

Everything in music, for me, was not unlike a tome

Albeit a trumpet for me, and my sister a clarinet, then saxophone

This melodic weight pressed upon my dream

Immersed in creativity allowed me to scheme

Versed in music, that education can’t be sold

Instead it should be used, molded, and controlled

To create another path or inroad into my gaming career

Your music and sound engineering background creates another sphere

Mine writing ability should never be confused with a wordsmith

Yet a love of comic books exposed a gift

Could it have expanded my literary horizon

Reaping a future novel was derived from

Eager to combine the words with pictues from an artist incarcerated

An old concept was newly generated

To tell graphic stories and vividly illustrate

In so doing, make something--not less--even more great

Veiled and covered in street art

Intentions for this unique concept got a new start

This is not to be confused with or even widely recognized

Your traditional graphic novel comic was urbanized

Minor problem in that a friend was gay

Yet no matter he still wanted to play

Compete in a group that were manned traditionally by girls

Reached out to him to give a tryouts a whirl

Ever the optimist

All the boys will tryout I insist

The tryouts are over

Idolized for being even bolder

Very satisfied with the results and no contempt

Invited to join the on the first attempt

Two of us shared the dream

Yes indeed we are on the team!

Most of the time I believe my life to be quite ordinary

Yielding to that idea in fact is quite contrary

Creativity has ruled the day

Realms of possibility give way

Embrace the different and the exciting

Abhor what the normal and the boring bring

Try something different then all the rest

Induce the idea of you being your best

Vested to the labor of love that make your creative juices burst

In no way will it ever be your worst

Talents and ability are honed

Yet the creativity defines, guides, while setting the tenor and tone
