My Culture Is More Than Awesome

My small island may seem like a small speck on the map

But many do not know the journeys one can unwrap

A land tiny in size but massive in heart

My culture and I are never apart

Most underestimate the power we hold

But my people are strong, my people are bold

A history filled with brave village chiefs and mothers

And one too many colonizers who have executed my brothers

But then Uncle Sam saved us, we really did need 'em

The torture was over, we found our new freedom

And the culture I pray for, the culture I crave

Soon became territory to the land of the brave

My bright paradise is breathtaking, its beauty unmeasured

It stands tall in its struggles, all our storms will be weathered

For Chamorro blood rushes through our proud, pumping veins

We sing Fanoghe Chamorro, only Guam pride remains
