My Dad

My family is made up of very strong, hard working men and women. While I could write a paper on each and everyone of them and how they influence my life, I’ll use these 300 words to talk about my father. Ever since I was born, he has always worked hard to provide for his family. I can honestly say that I have never went to bed hungry, I always had food to eat, always had clothes on my back, and  always had a roof over my head. Even when times appeared hard, he always made it clear that we were going to be fine and I believed him. To this day, I have never lacked for anything. His faith in God allowed me to believe that with God, all things are possible. My father is a giving man and all he wants to do is please God. He is very dedicated to the ministry and every step that I have seen him take on faith, has made a difference in my life. He showed me that if you just put your life in the hand of God, everything and I mean everything will fall right into place. My faith grows stronger and stronger everyday because I have never seen him give up. No matter how hard things may have gotten with family, the church, his life, I knew we would be alright. Being the only girl in my family, with an older and younger brother, I believe we have a special connection that they can’t have. They can’t say I’m the only son, but I can say I’m the only daughter and his number #1 daughter in fact. Like any other family, we have our ups and downs. In church one day, he said, “it's okay to go through as long as you get through.” Among other things said, I have definitely remembered this quote because I know I can get through anything with the right mindset. My brothers and I are very close to each other and that’s because dad told us to look out and be there for each other. Everybody can’t say my father said this or my father said that, but I thank God for blessing me with a God fearing, loving, and devoted father, who is someone I definitely can’t live without.
