To My Dad and His Birthday
This is your time; well we are celebrating you today,
even though your birthday hasn't come yet to stay.
You are turning an old number that means you're growing up,
but don't worry; you look like you drank from Indiana Jones’ Immortal Cup.
Your brother’s hair is still much grayer than yours,
and you look like a model for Michael Cors.
Well enough about your looks; I can only say so much,
now lets talk about you, your character, and such.
I’ve never heard a prideful word fall from your mouth,
even when everyone else looks as if they're going south.
You aren't afraid to try new things; of which I have learned from,
and you always put your family first even when we are dumb.
Overall I’m blessed to have you as my dad,
despite the arguments that tend to make me mad.
Your racist jokes are what I always look forward to,
I won’t tell Hilary or else Im pretty sure she’ll sue.
So in closing, you need a well deserved rest,
Despite these last 16 years that have probably been the best.
