My Dad, My Best Friend

Dear Dad,

Between all of the marvelous advice you have given me,

And listening to all my crazy stories and ideas,

From our breakfast, lunch, and dinner " father-daughter " dates,

You give me love and fun,

And everything under the sun.

To lending your ear to hear me ramble on and on about college and the future,

You have always been there no matter what.

While you raised me through the years, watching me grow and mature,

Thank you for the unlimited amount of support, laughs, and love you give me, even when I deserve a good kick in the butt.

No matter the day, time, or situation I've gotten myself into,

I know you are the one person who I can always count on,

Whether I need a shoulder to cry or a someone to hug, I know you'll get me through.

Always hearing you tell me, ' everything is gonna be alright, '

Pushes me to get through the hardest of nights.
