My darkness
I'm scared.
I'm scared of being alone in the dark.
Im afraid of these demons coming alive,
in my mind and accusing me of wrongs, that I havent yet made right.
I know of the things that haunts me, and I know what they need of me.
But I refuse..and I will fight till the death of me.
I will not be afraid..
I will not fear the ones who've accused me.
I'm stronger than most think.
Regardless of what the say, regardless of what many may think.
I've been through the worst
More than many at most.
I've overcome the skeletons and trumpet over the demons.
I refuse to knell down in their pleasure.
I wont pretend to live in their leisure.
My life is more than the human eye can measure.
But I'll stand tall.
I'll stand proud and take that bow, at the least I deserve.
When my fight is over they'll know just who I am and what I've battled.
To walk a day in my shoes you'll have to travel back and understand the fear of darkness.
