My Dear Aurora

You spoke such magical words, all encased in its own little lie.

To see the truth, a tear escaped.

You hide from everyone, you cut away the truth.

Thought death was the way, just to find out it made things worse.

You opened up to me and in return I did to you.

Your own path haunting your steps as my own was following.

We bled through the days, one worse than the other.

Till the day we saw each other.

Our worlds seemed brighter, we found a way to live on.

Then a crashing summer and we learned to live without.

Our bodies grew hurt and bleeding.

We found out things would end.

School became hard,

Things smoother since she left.

Till one day it all went back down.

You asked for her gone but who knew that action would come back to haunt.

As days went by, we became more distant.

Now we have a small river in between our hearts.

Dare to cross we do neither.

We spoke some lies, we spoke some truth.

Both turning into their own dish.

As words trigger memories other trigger thoughts.

We live each day hoping, wishing for the end.

As maybe the next one, will bring a greater glee.

Scared to share our thoughts, the river grows in depth.

We try to explain but always fall short.

We give up to defeat, we drop out hearts to no one.

The razor warm to touch as our bloody days continue.

To grave to speak, too much sorrow.

I’m asking for one wish.

Help me try to see, help me understand.

For my days grow thinner and my hope much weaker…
