My Dear Firefly

My dear Firefly…

My faded eyes lie wide open

Silently perceiving the eternal darkness drifting around my frail thoughts

It lingers uncertainly, but my hope for your light is forever present

Despite my everlasting love, I am left endlessly alone

In this solitude I wander searching the darkness for you

Do you exist, my soulmate?

My loving firefly to ignite the lost fire my soul once bared?

It’s all grey without you my love

Faded away

Yet here is where I stay

I will wait for you

Hoping we will unite soon

Waiting for your guiding love

My Darling Firefly
