My Dear Sun

How can one view the Sun

In all of your bright and magnificent beauty

The true and literal definition of blinding

How can I view the Sun

With rays of gold dancing across my skin

I crave your warm embrace

Like fingers and arms, your light embrace me

Welcoming, as an old friend

Oh how can I see my Sun

When you manifest in such a way

That I can not physically contain

My Sun I love you so

The blue of your eyes surround the world

Washing over me with simple purity

I am left in a state of true serenity

I know who you are

I feel hopeful in your arms

Your warmth translates into the deepest of love

The future seems as bright as your golden hair

My dear Sun

Thank you for finding me

In my darkest of times

I have found my own light to follow

My dear Sun

As I lay in your embrace

I can see you now

Dear Sun, I love you
