Slept in my bed last night,

All comfortable and warm.

Until I had a dream,

That saddened my heart.

I saw you walking,

So happy and laughing.

But she was with you,

The reason you smiled.

A hug and kiss is what I saw,

You went to the store and she went to your house.

I saw you happy,

It made me smile.

But my heart was saddened,

I wasn’t the reason why.

Waking up sadly,

I made a decision.

Letting you be happy,

Seeing you smile.

Even if it’s with her I’ll still be proud.
