My Declaration
As my nails hit the keyboard, I find my flow.
I write because I have something to say or there's something I wanna know.
I can't stop. I won't stop.
I've found my release.
The words come out like teardrops after each I feel a little more relief.
I write because the words come out easier than if I were to try to speak.
Bottled up emotions,
Pent up thoughts,
With each line I write I feel more free.
Free from the constraints placed upon me
I write to forget about my pain,
My anger
And the strains of my burdens.
I write.
In the process,
I remember my joy,
my hope,
And my progress.
My words become my fortress.
They are my sword and my shield.
They cleanse the wounds so I heal.
I write.
