My Demons

Centuries ago I found escape in an empty room. A secret red door, I put behind my demons, chained in an abyss my mind created. For years, they stayed hidden, now unlocked by an enemy within. Releasing the depression burried deep in my soul. Darkness overwhelms my mind as these freed creatures take control. Silent, yet not quiet...Gothic images echos in my head, whispering to my ear the deeds I kept forgotten. My heart beats for an escape, to flee from the guilt. Yet no matter how hard I try and knock one down, two rises up again, each more powerful than the latter. Now my skin crawls with disgust, to rid away this filth. But I'm not suicidal, I'm self afflicted.
