My Demons

Slap to the face

is the reason my face is red

and that red you see

is the blood drooling from the same face that cries for forgiveness

that yearns for the love and acceptance

as you look at me wasting away

drip drop

mop

the puddle of blood

O'

no I won't stop

scream N' shout

just hear me so I can show you the real me

I peel the skin apart

only to show you my slow beating heart

that same heart that continues in hope for the acceptance

of the two who gave it all to me

but in turn took all that I encompass

because what you think you no you really don't

you only assume

and now

I'm DONE

as I leave expect your only son to shun you

the only two in which he truly needed;

needed to mend the heart that is now torn apart

as I try and glue the veins that circulate the blood in my imperfect body

I drain my mind of all positive emotions

I fill the dopamine with rugged vertical scars

that represent bars

only to keep my DEMONS back.
