My demons are living people
People say that demons live in our minds. They say they're in our heads, that they're in our minds, they're our voice, our only thoughts, that they're our souls and empty hearts. But they’re wrong. Every day we face living demons. The people who insist on making our lives hell. The people who drown us in hate.
My demons are living people.
They are what can push us to the edge of despair. My demons do not hide in the shadows but are seen by all. My demons are always told they’re right, and I’m wrong.
My demons are living people.
I fear for the day when they push me past the edge I’m balancing on. The day my demons kill me and are told what they did wasn’t wrong. I’ll be dead and they’ll still be living their perfect little lives.
My demons are living people.
But when they reach their end, I know where they’ll be headed, and I’ll be laughing from above saying “Who’s living hell now?” I’ll be free and they’ll have eternity to pay.
My demons are living people.
