my distant dream

My distant Dream

I reminisce and smile, for once I wanted to pinch myself

It was all bliss and heavenly, living in a fool’s paradise

With all the glory and the sarcasm from the tiny world that I lived

Breaking life from the inside, you broke life from the outside

My dreams, my pink world and purple hazel lights drowned

The circus world to many, was so real to one

How could they not understand? This was a pearl,

Yet the joke was on me, me and me only

The innocent ignorance and almost perfect trust

Not a wolf and not a dog! The howl is different

I could not tell a soccer referee jersey from the player

Learnt to hate the game but not a player

Some hired guns fire rusted bullets from the past

Why should I blame anyone? The father’s sins consume us all

A rare gem! That was me! Really!? I was getting paranoid!

A distant dream, someone is!

The past that I fancy not re-visiting

I guess revisiting makes you win! Ha!

Conquering the already broken spear thrower

A tiny, fleck of regret any familiar? Guess nope!

Stealing! Oops! Kleptomaniacal!

Gives some triumph and borrowed peace

At least for a while! A life for rent!

Who cares except the robbed?
