My Dream

From when you are born to your time of death

Our lives are based around what we can accomplish

When we are younger we are told we can be anything

We can do whatever we want, reach for the stars

This is not the case for everyone

Even so this illusion fades from what we want to be

To what we can be, because there are limitations

When I was young I thought a lot about my future

Who would I be?

What would I do?

Where would I be?

All questions that I am uncertain of as of today

I do know of two things

The first is my love for family and friends

I will always be loyal to those who welcome me

To those who treat me as a friend rather than a stranger

The other certainty is my dream

My dream is a future without boundaries or restrictions

A future where race, culture, language, and religion do not matter

A future where people can turn to each other

Depend on each other

Love each other

Remember each other

And most importantly accept each other

I look forward to the day when I can spark a friendship with a stranger

Where we can be friends without having to worry about our differences

A future without malice or hatred to a specific group of people

A place where everyone is safe and accepted

How this will be accomplished I do not know

When this will be accomplished I do not know

If this is accomplished I fear of the perfection of this dream

We as humans are violent creatures and are easily corrupted with greed

We will do anything and hurt anyone to get what we want

We view the lives of others organisms less valuable than our own

Humans are destroying nature and this planet we call home

I fear the day this dream is realized

This dream can only be realized by ridding ourselves of these horrible thoughts and actions

When we finally do it will be a foreign world

A world of which I do not know what will occur

I draw the conclusion that this world can be obtained two ways

The first being complete cooperation and destruction of evil actions in humans

The second being the extinction of the human race

A world without humans is a place where we are all at peace

There is so much distrust and hatred in this world

We as people have set rules and restrictions to separate us

These restrictions are slowly killing us

We claim our world is at peace and yet it is not

Our world is in constant war

There is no existence of true peace on this Earth that we as humans recognize

Nature is true peace

Gentle waves in the ocean crash upon beaches

The wind blows and delicately touches grass

The sun rains down light and warms the Earth

There is no hatred in nature

Only the will to survive

Where death isn’t feared or hated

Death is life itself

One cannot exist without the other
