In My Dream You Came

Once upon a time... you came 

In my dream you were there,

you said Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair

In my dream you were there.

When I awoke I ran to my window 

I looked out of my tower and over the meadow.

you were no where to be seen,

I whispered your name hoping you'd hear me 

because in my dream you were there 

I waited for days, for hours on end 

I thought I heard you, but it was just the wind.

I withered away waiting for you,

I guess your dreams don't always come true

In my dream you were there.
