my dream...of books

my mind
my eyes
eating the words of each page
indulging the story
piece by piece
word by word
my hands gripping the binded page
scanning
enjoying its sorrow and joy filled pages
wishing
that my life was that silly tale in my book
wishing that one day
i could have a happy ending too
but that will have to wait until
i finish my last book
the last book of my life
to savor my memories
and walk off to eternity
with these silly lifeless tales
embeded inside my head
