In My Dreams

In my dreams, There is person worthy of praise and admiration. A person who grew to success, Trying, hoping, and always believing A dream that seemed almost impossible. In my dreams, The panicked eyes are your link into my world. You can run in my body, As fast as my beating heart can take you. Exhaustion will eventually give in And submit to fear. My body can’t run forever, And certainly, You can see that. You will wait like a paralyzed prey And discover how I die. In my dreams, Wonderful worlds await those who are willing. Villages spilling the fresh aroma of the country life, Noises absent in miles of green pastures. Magic is science, And therefore, is real. Imagination truly is beyond the sky’s limit here. In my dreams, There is always movement. Appear in one place and disappearing to the next, Dragging heavy feet across the barren dessert, Baked under a scorching hot sun Or glancing out a carriage door at the snowy hills in the distance As the gentle winds caress the cheeks of my face Always moving, in my dreams, In my dreams, I never stop going. Where to today? It will be my dreams that guide me Surely, it will take me somewhere Somewhere I can truly be.
