My Dreams

I open my eyes , I close my eyes,

I lay down, I wake up,

Nothing has meaning. Everything is the same.

You mean nothing. I mean nothing. THIS. ALL. MEANS. NOTHING.

Without motivation, my world is a blur

I sit in class wondering why I am even there

WHY AM I HERE? WHAT IS MY PURPOSE?

My soul has ABANDONED my body long before I leave this place called " home"'

But I never give up. NO.

Bit by bit I lift myself UP

Creating A NEW LIFE, A NEW SOUL, A NEW ME.

Now as i open my eyes,

I imagine all the new things I will learn that day....the new experiences I will have,

The best part of my newly found inspiration is when I close my eyes

When the day is done, and the stars shine bright,

I close my eyes and I DREAM of my future

The good times, the bad times

The ups and the downs.

I DREAM of  college, traveling abroad, finding true love,

And dying with no regrets.

My DREAMS are what keep me from falling.

My DREAMS are the light that leads me through a dark path,

My DREAMS lift me up and put me in a peaceful rest,

Allowing me to start everday with a SMILE, as bright as the northern star and my head held high.

My DREAMS are my motivation....

WHAT'S YOURS?
