My Drift

Forced to keep my mouth closed, Yet my heart yearns to speak Struggling to hold my thoughts back, like my mind is on a leash. There's a marathon of words, that are running through my head & If thoughts could run out of breath, mine would be dead. I can't take the stress, of this tug of war inside I've grown tired of the suffering I just want to run and hide. But I know that I am better than that & That I actually have a voice, There's always room to speak However, that's MY choice. Time waits for no man So, I gotta quit stalling I notice I've been slipping But I can't get use to falling. Gone too far to continue to lose balance Can't get too comfortable Gotta stay up for a challange. It doesn't matter whether or not I'm awarded As long as I put the message out on the surface.
