My Earth
He revolves around her.
He’s attracted to her golden skin, and when she rises he can’t control his oceans.
I never understood why he chases her when she constantly leaves, setting him behind.
With her, he hides his tides, he can’t appreciate the darkness or other stars.
On the contrary, she brings him calmness, a friendly feeling, a warm hug.
She can show him his highest mountain and most of his seas.
Although she isn’t tall enough to reach his deepest sea,
he knows there’s more to him.
When she starts to leave he feels parts of him swimming towards her light to feed.
When she’s gone she could leave him in complete darkness but decides to reflect her light onto his moon so he can still see.
She keeps her distance so she doesn’t destroy him.
He needs her and she doesn’t need him to be her.
She does so much for him not caring how he gives nothing in return.
A love like that lights the whole world.
I want to be just like her,
and I will be, once I find my Earth.
