My epic poem

My name is Aylin My dream is to be something I could never be A fiend Sike I drool throughout the night I catch my feelings going everywhere Nowhere where I want to be But it’s close to where I want to be See always contradicting, Myself Don’t even know what I want from, Myself Contemplating what is life, itself Ready for anything that is thrown at Me, Myself I am honestly just a human being More like, you, me, him, her, she, he My thoughts on this world is Try to stay positive Because between you and me There ain’t nothing good about this world Devastation, hesitation no time for respiration Is what I feel Put yourself in my heels I’m bound to take you on a obscure tour in the Sf hills We gotta deal with this change of weather Don’t get me wrong i love this weather No seasons involved, Who wouldn’t want to be raised in this weather? If you want to get to know me better, Don’t So how’s the weather? Sike I fooled ya right? This poem isn't about me But more about some of the emotions that intervene with me The key to life is Enjoy yourself Positive over negative Don't care No care Roll with it, Go with it Life's repetitive. By the way I’m Latina. As early as 10,000 years ago El Salvador was occupied by Paleo-Indians Were you can still see the intriguing paintings And it's nice complex culture Hieroglyphic writing Similar to the Aztecs With heavy Mayan influences Let me take you to the Spanish rule and independence Where the violence and corruption never ends Just getting started, were oppression never rests and has begun Spanish conquistador arriving in 1524 Of courses claiming land, with agriculture soaring Putting indigenous and African people to work torture, not getting anything back, like if we had a choice A revolt happens against Spain Left with no land, but lots of poverty A robbery that just makes no sense Coffee takes the crown, if you did not know Stock market crashes, coffee game goes down Violence increasing by the day Changing and trying but is not trying harder How hard is it to try to change this corruption? Very with all the weapons but fuck it Let's get to steppin' and fight for what's right So we fight back military steps in Do we stop? No, but more lives are being taken as we respond Ronald Reagon takes office, guess what happens Millions funded into the military, prolonging the conflict It's like they want this What did we do to deserve this? Or does everything really happen for a reason? Getting sick of the worthless reasons US gives billions to the war effort Great. They want us all done before we even know it Against each other and you don't even know it Or do we? Scared to die, but it seems like our ambitions of fighting back Is long gone So we just sit back and watch. Section three: Coming to America With El Salvador being so deceiving Who wants to live here? Different ambiance, I guess They say you come to America They call it the American dream Where you can find a job Did my mom and her sisters get the message that it's much more than that? 7 sisters trying to come to America A scary adventure with each life on the line Making it seem like anyone who crosses the border Is committing such a deadly crime Leaving nothing but a fam behind Threatened by the guerrillas to leave Leaving a father Behind Taken away just like that Because he was part of an organization With no remorse behind those eyes Is what it seems Where is he now? Long, gone Was it the wrong time, day, place? The world may never know Smuggled by the coyotes As they make their way to the land of free Hiding under a truck Spotted, oh man What now? Sent to jail, but bailed out of it By a sister Question. Mom what was the best part of coming to America? I don't even ask I can already see it in my moms eyes Disappointment. You have no idea, But I believe in you, mom Anyone can get through it You just have to go through it Things can get better, Our past can only hold so many experiences and memories If you let it. The world is a blind insult were if you spoke out Lights close, you out can't seem to stick around so long Abominations Assassinations happening to the wrong leaders Leaving no time for the best reconciliations within us, people A whole, torn apart by a cruel system Taking these victims who just want to spread the word of love Can we just live in peace? Like around March, in the 1980's Romero a priest from El Salvador Killed, for speaking out against poverty, social injustice Assassinations and torture. Coming from his own country HIS OWN COUNTRY How is it that someone who just wants to help, gets killed? How is it that someone who is trying to improve the system, just goes downhill? There is no type of free will A villain in front of our own eyes No justice happening, is what I see, just a huge.. Fiction in front of me. Let the people, we so call immigrants BE. Who are you to say we can't come live here in peace? After all this is no ones land to claim Yet the ignorance of you fools just don't get it We are only human, bleed the same color Just tryin’ to live a life that was just given Sad part is, we are more dead than alive When it comes to colliding forces and going sky high So high, that their would not be anymore violent deaths Shout out to all these great movements from the past, Moment of silence for the real peace soldiers. Man, why is it that when us people see the cops, we feel more Paranoid than at ease What up with all this unnecessary tension and grief Let us live our lives in peace, without the use of violence Can't even touch you back without me being eyes shut, Or prison no type of bail done. I hope that this can reach your soul and inspire all To make peace and creating a effort for our next generations It's time for new faces to come up and start making some changes *** Here I am Here we all are History is mainey It's like they just wrote these books and said Here read all about your history My history and the history of all sorts does not affect me now Does not affect my future It may affect our inner selves Having to read all about what our ancestors been through It's messed up Confusing So I forget about it I try to live for today If I die tomorrow and was still living the past Then what was I living for? If I live for the future than what does that make of me now? Nah I want to live in the present But not worry about the future for now And in time I will be thinking for my future But i won't let it affect me now Goals? I haven't set any goals I have ideas Many ideas That we open our eyes Fight for what's right Go for what we all believe in No holding back Like if you knew you could not fear a thing It would all be clear that We'd all be invisible This is all so true Like I said before Positive over negative Find your true self Forget about about the past It's only holds you back From a new chapter And Life goes on And only we can go on There is no clock We are in no rush So take your time Find your true self But I'm no one to tell you this It's what just in my mind and eventually I will I have to let go of it.
