My Escape

You came into my life like a whirlwind during my darkest times and with you, you brought a light.

Some people just don't understand and some do.

You were and still are the one thing I know I can count on,

You still bring the light I so desperately am crawling on the floor frantically looking for.

Just when I’m all alone and about to throw it all away, I hear you calling to me, you’re a drug.

A drug that I happily let take over and consume me, a drug that helps me not hurts me.

You have saved my life more times than I can count.

You have been the only thing I can count on to be there for me, to help me, to heal me, to be my escape from this twisted reality.

You’re is my life line.

Not only do you help me, but you inspire me, take me to a completely different dimension.

A place where I can let my imagination and emotions free.

Without you I honestly don’t know what I would do or where I would be.

You are poetry, the one thing that keeps me sane and has always been there for me and for that, I can’t be more thankful.

So, I thank you poetry for being my blessed escape.

I love music, I love to write and I'm a loyal person who cares and is always there when people need me there to help. I'm outgoing, ambitious, loud, and beyond nerdy, goofy, and geeky.
