My Essential
The heartless world is as lifeless as me,
If I could I would immediately flee.
Yet, I am trapped in a place where no
One wants to go.
Endure and endure I will,
For this dreary life won’t have any thrill.
My melancholy and emptiness will drive me insane,
But I know of one thing that may end this pain.
In this world where I am alone,
I wish for nothing but a companion of my own.
But why just a friend you may ask,
Why not food or technology to help me relax?
You see, a familiar presence is what I desire,
Joy, love, and fun can be brought to my cold world,
Loneliness expelled and happiness acquired,
Together, we can build our own lively world.
Though anything can be achieved alone,
Is it not better to have someone to share your satisfaction and bliss,
Rather than have it be unknown?
But have this be known: solitude and sadness, I will not miss.
Still, I am unable to create,
A perfect world without a mate.
Food or technology can not make me laugh,
So a friend is the essential thing I wish to have.
