My Everlasting Curse

Why did I do this?

Why would I curse myself?

To watch your beloved

     ones pass before your

        very eyes never to

          be able to join them

Why, Oh, Why did I

     bring this curse;

        this two-faced fate,

        of watching the world

        grow old without

        your beloved friends

     and family; upon myself?

Why, Oh, Why did I believe

     that this is curse I bare would

       be a gift?

Oh how I wish this

     curse to end, so that

     I may be free.
