To My Ex Best Friend

I hate you.

I hate how you changed but even more, I hate how much you changed me.

I thought we'd be the ride or die type.

I thought we'd be the Monica and Rachael of our generation.

I hate how wrong I was.

Days turned into weeks which turned into months and became a year.. a year of not being the best of friends.

11 years means nothing, right?

I hate how my right hand man was the reason I had to cut it off.

I hate how I didn't know what to do so I just stood there and took it.

You were the one person who knew all my deepest fears.

Funny how you're also the one who used them against me.

I hate how because of you, I don't trust people anymore.

Because 11 years means nothing, right?

I hate how I vowed to never call anyone my best friend anymore because it's nothing but an insult.

You act like you don't remember us.

The countless laughs and inside jokes.

I hate to admit it but, I wish you the best of luck.

Because even after 11 years, I still care.
