In My Face
You slammed the door in my face
You totally put me in my place
Told me I didn't belong
Said that's how you felt all along
Told me that you didn't mean to lead me on
You told me that your feelings were gone
I should have known
That until I've grown
Life will be tough
It will be rough
But when the opportunities pass me by
I shouldn't feel like I want to die
The broken heart that you created
I'm glad we never dated
But someday I hope the right guy comes to your door
And he shows you that you are so much more
Maybe this door in my face
Actually became my saving grace
