To My Family

To my mother,

Thank you for making me tough,

For teaching me right from wrong,

And for pushing me

Even when I didn't want to be pushed.

To my father,

Thank you for being my wings,

For teaching me how to fly,

And for guiding me

Even when I wanted to go a different way.

To my brother,

Thank you for pissing me off,

For being a brat but also an angel,

And for loving me

Even when I was bossy and insufferable.

To my family,

Thank you for shaping me into who I am,

For showing me what love looks like,

And for teaching me to pray

Even when I was certain that God didn't care.
