My Fantasy Tonight

The words my mind can say in silence

My poor heart can’t hide.

Misery faded as I gazed into your eyes.

Should I stay close as a friend,

And drown myself in grief?

Or should I tell you lies,

And push you off to leave?

I wish for a miracle,

But here comes fantasy.

I could only hope, that we are meant to be.

The words my mind can say are senseless

My poor heart just cried

But I am happy as I gazed into your eyes

Should I stay close as a friend

And drown myself in grief

Or should I tell you lies,

And push you off to leave?

Let me live in this fantasy tonight

Where you and I are one in love.

Let me live in this fantasy tonight

While my hand fits yours.

Brace me close, waltz in the light

Let me live in this fantasy tonight.

Hey there! 🌟 High school me turned to writing short stories and poems for kicks, and it's been a love affair ever since. At present, I'm a special education teacher, guiding an amazing bunch of diverse kiddos. I channel my romantic soul into my poetry, often inspired by people close to me or just good old self-reflection. Love is my muse, I guess. I'd love for you to dive into my world of words and can't wait to experience your poetry too! Let's connect and get inspired together! 😊 Yey!
