My Father

To my Father,

You have always been a athortarian figure

our home your kingdom

and our self- conidence your battleground

your overbering presence sufocates us...

but I am no longer afraid

your harsh words no longer affect me

as they did when I  was a child

they simply boune off the armor I have built

no longer aloud to penetate my hardy exterior

even as my father

you have no true bearing on my life choices

you are simply

the man who made me who I am

today
