My Fault

My Fault

My fault

That you don’t look here

You don’t look anywhere

You look at her

Not here, not anymore

It was nice while it lasted

My fault that we past it

I wish I could change things

My fault that we past it

I’m pretty non-existent

In that world of yours

But you’re still in mine

Most days, Everyday

I can’t seem to stop thinking about whether you might still feel the same?

Do you think about me?

Will I speak to you again, ever?

But I fucked up my chances

Of true happiness with you

Someone so suited

Who knew, I’d so carelessly jeopardize the first signs of true happiness in years

The only one left sorry is me

My fault that we past it

I’m virtually non-existent

In that world of yours

And as much as I’m happy

That you’re now truly happy and free

I’m really non-existent

And I just wish it was me

Making you happy and free

I feel such despair and regret

To think how it could be me

Planning our lives

Becoming not two but three

I know I’d do well

Be the best that I can be

But this is the past

It’s gone, no more

So why can’t I see?

That I need to let go

My fault - I passed it

My fault that we passed it.
