Ah, The Fault in Our Stars

If you only knew

I picked that  book up for you

To get closer, to understand

A bit of what goes through your mind

So that maybe I could find

A way to hold you in my arms

To have your everlasting embrace

That keeps me oh so warm

Even when your kisses make me shiver

I made the biggest mistake

Saw it all way too late

You’re were all the clues pointed to

Of where my heart should be kept 

But you didn’t just leave, I let you go

How can I forgive myself for that?

I lost the sweetest, the most comprehensive,

The most beautiful girl I’ve met

What can I do now?

I’m leaving, my plans are set

Nothing I can do now would win you over

I could just save myself the regret

Of losing you within a few months

Saw the motion picture

Of that book that you love

I felt a strange mixture

Of loath and ruing

What the hell am I doing?

I should pick up my phone and call

I should put this to a halt

I want to be with you

But still I can't bring myself to do it

So it is all my fault...
