My Favorite Memory of Us

The
city
sparkled bright.
Your eyes did too.
I was lost in the
surroundings because I
was staring at you. The ice,
quickly melting, just like my heart,
but we skated around ‘til after dark.
The memory has marked its place in my heart.
The train station buzzed with people and more.
We ordered coffee in a small store;
we waited for six-forty to come.
You held my hand and we boarded
the train. We sat in the
front; I leaned in close.
You smiled softly
and kissed me.
I love
you.
